I agree that the Festiva will see more media coverage. However, this harkens to the Ronal Teddy mounted Festiva. We will not see positive exposure for the Festiva like the Mini does until they make a movie that highlights the abilities we've known for years. Here, the car is mocked. In all other countries, it is a widely utilized design that has seen it's way into several newer vehicles.

Yeah, this will just heighten the "Festiva is a piece of garbage not worth keeping" motif of it and probably cause more to be thrashed or scrapped. We need a show that highlights the cars good points and doesn't downplay the car to a speck.
      Current cars:

1993 Ford Festiva 5-Speed - Festiclese III - Cousin of the Banhammer - "The Jalopnik Car"
      1984 Toyota Cressida - 2JZGE Swap, Turbocharged.
2013 Mazda Mazda2 - Exhaust and Wheels (the daily)
      2002 Toyota Tundra - V6/Auto/2WD - The Tow Vehicle.

As for movie studios scrapping movie cars, remember that the "Fun with Dick and Jane" yellow Festiva has been on the market a couple times since it was released from the film.

What happens to this "sold to Hollyweird" Festiva is anyone's guess. Maybe we'll be surprised. Since it's some sort of MTV "reality show," I don't have high hopes.

Not sure where they are going to shoot the show scenes, we meet up with them in South Orlando near a mall/flea market. some of it will be shoot in and around a college if thats any help. they are still scouting out areas, will let you know if they let us know anything, we are supposed to go back down in Sept to watch more of the shooting as we had voiced some concerns about the car and the shoots.
