I just thought I would put some pics up of my car. I don't think I've really put any good ones up. Enjoy!

That little fella looks to be in really nice shape. Lucky for you guys they don't use salt on the roads. Also, how the car has avoided the usual and cursed 'door dings' over the past 22 years indicates it was well cared for, or else parking lot spaces in Georgia are much wider than in Canada. Thanks for sharing the pictures.
Someday I may have to ship a southern car up this way to experience what working on a rust-free car is like. Probably feels pretty good. Attached shot is of mine on a camping trip 2 weeks ago. 16 foot canoe on a 12 foot car! Safety Guy; notice the 13 in. VW rims like yours.

Thanks guys. I've tried to keep it in the best shape that I can. I bought the car in March of 2007 and I've driven it everyday since then. I was commuting 130 miles round trip everyday in my 88 Mustang GT (it makes around 400 HP) and gas was killing me. We had a website for our local car club and one of the guys put the Festy up for sale one day for $500. I almost didn't get it. A couple guys from the club were going to buy it to go jump it off of stuff...but I talked them out of it! I love that little car! It's an 88 LX (door sticker says 01/88), carbed, 5 speed, A/C and lots of options. This is the only car I've ever kept completely stock, ha.
@Bert: Nice! I took the passenger seat and rear seat out of my car to go to a Mountain Bike race. I had the bike, cooler, tent, camping supplies etc all in the car!

That thing looks almost new and for only $500!
I bought my Festiva new in 88 because my 67 Fastback Mustang needed a timing chain.
I was saving enough on gas to make the car payment. So I had three red cars, 88 Festiva, 66 Mustang Fastback and the 67. My wife hated red. She got a black 89 convertable Mustang GT a year later.~Jeff

Absolutely beautiful car! I too love the tan interior.
What a save--saving it from those guys who just wanted to tear it up by "jumping it!"
Bert--thanks for pointing out your VW wheels. (Put up a better side view someday!)
John Gunn, I would love to have a nice shape bone stock Festiva some day, especially an LX! When everything's working right, they are quite nice. There's room enough in my "dream stable" for both modded and stock versions.

John Gunn: "anything so well designed, messing with it, dishonours those who gave a part of their life to create it". In many regards I agree with this statement. Easy to service, compact and lightweight with lots of visibility are attributes of Festys. But not the obscure wheel bolt pattern, biodegradable upholstery plastic, brakes or wheels. Upgrading to Aspire fixins (especially vented and floating rotors) is a miracle fix and should have been offered by the factory right from the start.
