  • started teardown today...

    Didn't get real far, just got most of the wiring and billion vacuum lines off. Think I'm gonna leave the old wiring for the engine just hanging and find me somewhere else to mount the bp ecu. Better than unwrapping all the harness to keep the stuff that needs to stay.
    89 L, hopefully returning from the dead soon with a little more power... :twisted:

    you know, rerouting the entire ECU harness is alot more work than just running 2 wires to the stock location
    1992 Festiva... BP-T, Escort G5MR, no crossmember, aspire brakes, Megasquirt, Toyota COP's, coilovers and 6 puck SPEC clutch!

    T3/T4 Turbo Power! G5MR and BP since '04!

      Well yeah, but I gotta have the whole harness out of the bp car anyway. If I get that far it shouldn't be too hard to reroute the whole thing somewhere else. I wish it was fuel injected... :lol:

        Yeah, judging from that picture I'd say he's got a little more than two wires that would need running to the stock ECU location... is the plug even the same on the carbies? lol

            I keep thinking I should EFI my wife's car and swap it, but I still kinda like the whole "unique" factor of the carb'd auto. Maybe just an early B6 swap, or a B8 with Escort carb intake...
            No festiva for me ATM...

              Yeah, nothings the same. It's gonna be a pain lol. Should be worth it to tear up a few hondas in it tho :twisted:
