In the entertainment business they've always said "imitation is the sincerest form of flattery". In Iran's fledgling auto industry this phrase seems to translate rather well. No one there seems to have a bee in their bonnet to to recreate long obsolete Crown Vics, Chevy Caprices, Honda Civics or Toyota Corolla knock-offs.
But they've made Festy clones into a best seller. With the expertise and technology available there I would have thought even simpler-designed Chevy Chevettes would have taken over.Comment
