I don't think mine have that!
I wonder if that is one of the differences between American and Canadian First Gen Civics?
One of mine also has the overhead consol with clock and maps lights, which as I recall is a rare piece.

Ever since I got this car my biggest complaint has probably been the ugly grey front seats that had been welded at the mounts.

Well finally, with a little help from a friend (thank you sir), some stock front seats were found! They were black, but I figured my newly acquired vinyl painting skills could change that.

While I was at it, I re-did my speaker panels in the rear. Now for the photos.

My workshop. I really should move in to a place where I can work.

Before (with the ugly grey seats)

After (with new / old seats, re-painted)

My new speaker panels. Trying to make it look factory to avoid break ins.

A very pre-loved steering wheel I was given by a friend.
