Neanderpaul, looks like you need a more positive offset wheels. Some kind the mags face is flushed to the edge of the flares as much as possible just in my own humble opinion. You need now a stance wheels(wide lip) that is perfect for this add-on.;-)

Thanks for the input. The Wheels are the reason for the flares. As I said in the first post I will trim the flares. They are just taped on. If I can't make it right I will space the wheels a bit. Your opinions are welcome! I agree the flares are out past the wheels too much.

I've seen them powder coated black. I'm not sure what I will do, but I will do something. I mean the paint is ridiculous and I'm still posting the work in progress. I will address the wheels

That's not bad! What are the wheels off of and you wouldn't happen to know the offset would you?

Celica GTS and Supras. The Toyota van from the same era, early to mid eighties, had the same wheel design with less of an offset. I don't know the offset on any of them though. It is 114.3 x 4bolt pattern.

Apparently Boyd Coddington made custom versions of these in 17" and 18". They were $2700!!! Beautiful yes, but worth it? Not in my mind.

Here is a stock set powder coated black. The pic is not flattering. I've seen that look pulled off better. I'd like to see the outer rim CHROME! And the center square chrome. I imagine that would be quite cost prohibitive. I'd love some photoshop fiend to mock up a set like that from one of my pics.
