...I think they might have bought performance cams.

Edit: Yeah I was just talking to him last night on FB and he said this, "We are replacing damn near all of the pieces that attach on it. Water pump kit, all of the gaskets, putting on performance cams, new distributor. Performance stainless steel header. The works"

Yeah our mechanic has ordered performance cams for the BP engine, so it should rumble a bit. We had a shop here in St. Louis polish the cams, do a valve job, and plane the head today, its sitting in our truck, just gotta wait for all the ebay stuff to come in to put humpty dumpty back together again!

Ok so our mechanic retracted his order on the cams dont blame him though, if we wanted to run them all right it was gonna take a megasquirt ECU, total for both new was gonna be another $1000 +... Anyways doing some serious cleaning, this seems to be dragging on forever since we have to damn near rebuild this thing... got some more pictures though.

everything looks better with a wide angle lens lol.

Lol yeah, our mechanics real job is with sheetmetal. One of the other Mazda Rally guys came by and dropped us off 4 front coilovers so we can put them together or frankenstien them with ones that we bought, tokico illuminas is what we are trying to fit in there, they are adjustable. we have the eibach springs so if all else fails we'll use 2 of these front shocks and put the springs on them for now, our back ones are already set.

This is fantastic! I was excited already about this just because it's a Festiva...and now you're modifying it, I love the progression! Great job!
