Haha, thanks guys! I hit the junk yard and finished pulling everything for an auto to 5 speed swap for another member, then figured is grab some new cluster lights..I grabbed all but the two illumination lights I need! Turns out I just need a new cluster anyway. I figured out that the gas gauge and temp gauge from a white cluster don't swap into a non tach Orange cluster...weird...anyway bottom line is I just need a new cluster this one isn't worth piecing back together.

While I was at it, I went ahead and popped off the speaker covers...and scored big Haha..

I stuck them to the side of the clutch petal assembly, told the guy I grabbed the speakers from the car and he still only charged the price he wanted for the petal assembly! Hahaha..

Got these hooked up when I got home, they sound great! A LOT better than the stock one on the driver side and the 5 1/2 that was wedged and zip tied in the passenger side lol..

I tore half the stuff out of the dash today and temporarily fixed my ignition. The stereo isn't running.g off a toggle switch anymore haha, thanks Arty.

I still can't figure out why my taillights aren't working. I've got 12v at the switch when its on, but the lights aren't working. They're wired to a toggle switch atm thanks to brad since ohiosteva.


I cut some space out of the bump stops, I've got right at 1 3/4" suspension travel before it gets into them now.

Uh let's see..there's the old engine, old engine out, filthy engine bay, busted steering rack, freshly rebuilt aspire rack I swapped in but had to use Festy tie rod ends because aspire rod ends are about an inch longer, threads don't start for an inch further out. then there's the clutter of stock junk on the strut tower, and a pic of the donor b6!

..also after.shots of a slightly cleaner engine bay.....I did almost nothing Saturday but clean and clean and clean some more, and its still a filthy mess, just slightly less dirty...ill have to hit a car wash and degrease it soon.

New engine ready to drop in! 60 amp b6 alt with b3 mount and alt bracket. The engine in the air and the look on Karls face when he saw how I lift engines hahahhaaa... Which is also the look ill get when he sees the pen I used to connect the brake booster line to the intake! He suggested a piece of pipe but the pen was closer..and cheaper! :p

I cut.chopped drilled and just kinda bolted the icm, coil, and the other thing there to one bolt on the strut tower. I'll definately be doing something else here but for now it got rid of all that awful looking stock bracketry. Also relocated the fuel filter up on the firewall.

The car runs like crap on ether. I guess the makeshift inyector harness I maDe doesn't quite cut it. The b3 disty also needs adjusted, its way out of whack. I used a stethascope and the injectors aren't firing. The junk yard will be open tomorrow after work so ill snag the injectors harness off that festivA.

I got the exhaust all mocked and welded up, had to clock it different on the downpipe to manifold flange. if my stock exhaust had a flexpipe or was even close to being a stock exhaust it probably would have bolted right on lol.. Between Gomez picking up the old engine, and all of Karls great help, I've got right around 100$ in the swap so far. Just need to work out the bugs and get the auto aspire radiator mounted up! I had to weld in a little piece of pipe to hold the lower radiator bushing since the aspire one is twice as long. It should all fit/clear the manifold and transmission, the only problem I see with it is the b6 hoses are much bigger than the b3 radiator pipes...I'll either have to sandwich a piece of stock rubber between the b6 hoses and radiator barbs....or hope I can squeeze the b6 hoses tight enough with a clamp!

Bryant (Gomez) stopped by yesterday to pick up his engine, and all the stuff for a 5 speed swap that i pulled out of the junk yard for him last week. He seems like a pretty nice guy, can't wait to get up there and see what's going on with his swap!

Again Karl, I can't thank you enough man!! I'll get pics loaded up of the stuff you hooked me up with today as soon as I get around to installing it all, which I hope will be in the next couple days! I can't wait to start driving my little feefee again!
