Congrats! They are really great driving cars. I drive Miatas quite often and always love getting back in my Capri, shame Miatas got all the attention and these cars got none, because they are a much nicer car. Mine is stock and will pull along with a stock mazdaspeed. I am also rocking the mismatched red hardtop!Driving for me is neither a right nor a privilege. Driving is my passion, as it was for the people who invented the automobile, the people who paved the first roads and the people who continue to improve the automobile. Please respect this passion.

It is curious that I have never seen that model of Capri in the Ottawa area. May be they didn't sell them up here or may be they were overwhelmed by Miata sales. I do remember the predecessor RWD versions arriving here with great fanfare in the mid-70s, especially the 2.8 V6.

Canada didn't get this model. It's basically a 323gt with sporty convertible body and different interior. The cars were assembled in Australia and have quite a few "Capri only" body and interior parts that can be difficult to get at times. Luckily we have Russ to source and scrounge and even build new components for us. These cars must have sold incredibly well here in Arizona and we see them often in the salvage yards out here, and I see a couple a week out on the road ( other than mine that is). My worst gripe about my XR2 is the horrid fuel mileage. I was happy to get 29.5 on my last tank. In comparison my friends 91 Integra (b18 swap) gets mid30's and is faster. Oh well, everyone has a Honda.Last edited by Advancedynamix; 05-05-2013, 09:48 AM.Driving for me is neither a right nor a privilege. It's that damn G-series! haha 5th gear is so low! I'm thinking of doing the 5th gear swap on this one to make it help at least a little bit. I am very surprised on how many people don't like these cars! I think it'd be sweet to do a BPT swap while slamming it on coilovers, wide wheels and fender flares!-Josh R
