I made this intake adapter to fit a 3" cone filter. It's one piece of aluminium and anodized. Weight is 145g.

nice job looks like it will serve its purpose, what did the annodized allum cost ya
The material was an offcut from work and I anodized it at work also, so in materials it didn't cost me anything. It's about $20 CAD worth of aluminum though.
That one on ebay is welded and that's why it doesn't look at nice. You have to machine away the weld around the holes. I don't know why they did that if it was CNC machined anyway.

You have got yourself a talent that looks awesome man! I also admire your festy, I love that teal and the swift wheels, were they hard to find?
Hey, thanks alot! It's really great to recieve compliments.
I got the Swift wheels off my brother, who is a Swift fanatic. I haven't tried looking for them otherwise, but my bro says that they are pretty rare. Mine need some work, but I'm thinking it would probably be worth refinishing them.
I love the colour too. When I repaint it, I'm keeping the colour, with the grey bumpers and the plastic strips along the sides.

Maybe I'll make another one and see how long it takes me.

Have you considdered now placing that adapter on a milling machine and milling out a rectangle to match the VAF inlet? That was my idea, a smooth flowing transition from round to square unlike the e-bay adapters.
ya, I have. I can't do a loft from a circle to a square on my home setup, but I can certainly make the exit port square so that you have a square cutting into the cone. Actually the one I saw on ebay had this design.

I'm willing to sell these for US$80 or CAD$90 /each. Buyer pays shipping, or pick it up if you are close.
Handmade, anodized, one-piece aluminum, ~145 grams.
The design will include the square cutout at the small end. I will post a picture on Monday, probably in the for sale section.
I will also include 4 hex socket M6 cap screws for mounting to the stock VAF.
