kinda like mar-hyde......like a rubberized under coating can be found on the under chassis of the car also. I'm glad you took my joke to humor and not an insult. Scrapping all that crap off will save you about 4-5 lbs if i remember right.

It doesn't prevent it inside that is strictly for sound purposes, the stuff on the under carriage aids in rust prevention however.

Whats this black tar your mentioning? If its in the 92 L, i want to know where it is and how i can get it out
Every car has this black tar on the floorboard you can locate it by lifting up the carpet...
P.S. Acura Integra Type R's and Dodge Neon ACR's and a few other race ready cares come from the factory without sound deadening, lol I had to put that out there.

I wouldn't be so sure about proving him wrong. My buddy's '90 integra GS (which is far from even being race ready) didn't have any black tar. We ripped out the carpet to replace it and we were very suprised to find a little glue but other than that it was just painted sheet metal under there. We put in some of that 3/8" carpet pad from home depot under the carpet, and its nice and cushy now and the sound level inside is much much lower
                      No festiva for me ATM...

What engine?? Not happy w/the B6 SOHC?? BP perhaps?? For my needs a B6 SOHC spins the tires more than enough w/an open diff on an AutoX.. -Kyle

chill out there chief, I forgot to put in acura integra TYPE R's, no need to get butt hurt and go junkyard hunting to prove me wrong, you should be fine, everything is gonna be alright, sometimes people forget to add certain things and its not all that serious.
