    ^^aren't aggressive my foot...lol.

Besides this one , I KILLED, I get them in the house because I live near some big open fields and such and these things get huge IMO.
If a spider stays away and leaves me alone I am fine...but when you are sitting in your recliner and you see one pulling the cat across the carpet and it makes you freeze in fear but no one else is around to help the cat....you have to do something.
I went to get up to try and overcome my fear and dispose of the predator, when I kicked the foot pad down the thing stopped and turned and looked at me, just starring right at me. I waited and tried to move but I couldn't for a few seconds...it gave the cat time to get away.. then I mustered up the courage to stand up....well the thing also stood up. It like raised up on all it's legs. I sat back down and it laid back down too, I stood up again and so did the spider. I moved to the side and it turned to continue starring at me, still standing tall mind you. I moved to the other side and it spun in place , still starring at me...(I am getting chills typing this). As I finally was able to move towards it...it came towards me. I thought...no F'N way this is happening! I reached for a shoe that was laying there and it turned and watched my hand the whole time. I grabbed the shoe and got up the courage to go towards it...it came towards me also..(haha, not aggressive)...well I just got up the notion I was gonna smash it and went for it. I missed it the first swing and it still came at me...I moved and swung again and got it...but it was not dead...still tried to come at me...it took another 5 hits to get it to stop moving.
So yes I am a big wimp when it comes to spiders...especially these kind of spiders.... but no matter how good one thinks they are...if I can I will kill it every time.
That's hilarious   They must sense fear or grow mean in Ohio  Ive never had an experience with one like that.

I keep at least a couple dozen covered glue traps out at my house at all times for recluse. I change them every couple of months to keep them sticky. Here is a picture of one with no less then five brown recluse on it. Think about that when you curl up in your bedding at night. Ive been fighting them for years with everything I know of. They are hard to get rid of and can live for 10 years. Its just a matter of time before I get bit I fear.

They are common around here ( Missouri ) esp out in the country. Its always something to think about if you have to crawl under a house or up it the attic for some reason. We've got black widows also. I kept one in a sealed jar once and it stayed alive for months with no food, water, or air ( I presume ) before laying an egg sac and dying.

            Not a pretty site!

None the less, if they are out side I leave them be, that's where they belong!

But, when they enter my house they are in my domain and unless they cooperate in being removed, they will be terminated with prejudice!
I completely Agree Any Bug, Insect, Spider, or other pest will be removed alive if possible but usually dead.

But I would have to say If I saw that thing crawling around I would torch it to

We get pretty big black widow's out here. Killed two of them just on Friday afternoon at the shop.

And they definetly aren't fun to run into working on a car, and they jump from the web and run at you. (Hence why we kill them!)

Just be glad we don't have these. Our troops have to deal with these suckers on a daily basis! called a camel spider. I have heard they get inside a camel by entering its rear then cuts its way out the insides making the camel guts fall out killing it.

not quite true, they are called camel spiders because they can drop a camel in a split second,

my sister has killed a few about the size of a hocky puck, shes seen some as big as a dinner plate, so those things are vicous

^^again...not quite true....they do not drop a camel. They are not even a spider...they have no venom....read this if you want to really know the truth....lol. My son has seen a couple in Iraq, even though they are deadly or anything he said they are just scary to see and he kills them right away.

Honestly I hate it when I stand corrected, BUT I will admit defeat. ops: Now I can say I know the facts and will not be so nieve next time I hear a story until I know the facts. 8)

STILL whatever the facts are I truly feel for the troops that see these thingies every day. I know I wouldn't want to come face to face with one.
