ECU Ground

This is a picture of the mass ground connector I'll be using for all the grounds from the ecu and the ecu case. Note good connection.

Driver's Footwell Connections

Now we direct our attention to the drivers footwell, where most of the connections will take place. note in this pic, I haven't got the dash disassembled, you will need to remove all the steering wheel coverings to get to the ignition switch. Refer to Steering Column Trim Removal/Install for procedure.

Power supply

Ok pay attention because here we go with the hots connections. Note in this pic how I have the ignition switch out, I had to use a multi-meter to determine what was what because some of the wires on the switch were different than the factory diagram color wise. This car is a 91 L, so your ignition wires may vary. Also important that the wiring is specific to use of the Capri B6T harness (just FYI 323 GT would be same, but 323 GTX has a few wiring color differences)..

1. You hook up the thin blue with red stripe wire from the B6T Capri Harness to the fat white with red stripe wire in the middle. this is 12 constant.

2. You hook up the black with red stripe wire from the B6T Capri harness to the black with red stripe ignition wire this is the starter trigger wire. (note on my diagram this wire could also be blue with black stripe)

3. The thin Black with white stripe wire from the B6T Capri harness that I forgot to mention on the last pic is positive when on and start. you hook this up to the fat Black with yellow stripe wire on the front of the ignition switch.

4. The thick Blue wire from the B6T Capri harness was originally part of that car's A/C system wiring and is not used (could be used as a spare circuit).
