2 pm sounds great. My gf and I are leaving early Friday morning, to enjoy the view down. Has anybody done any research on Bed & breakfasts, or hotels, or condos? If a couple of us could score a multi bedroom condo, we could split the bill saving some cash, but also have a little privacy! I'm going to do some checking.

Well, bad news. I researched and called all log cabin bed 'n breakfasts in the area and there are none available. Sounds like hotel is the only option.

Odds are good I am not going to be able to go now. Got the vacation approved and now the inner driver side CV joint is out on the 88. I owe way to much taxes and moneys tight. I still got LOTS to do to get the 90 to get her on the road not including registration, plates etc. etc. etc. I'm out of ideas and low on gas. I love the car. I love the hobbie. And want to meet a few people who WONT laugh at my damn car. But I work for peanuts and Uncle Sam is having his way with me this year. :angryfire:

Sheez. What am I sayin'. $30 round trip like I can gripe bout that. Heck or high water I'm not missing out on seeing all your cars(meeting you folks will be pretty cool too).

I decided to heck with the taxes, whats a little late fees and I have got most of the parts for the 90L+ (any suggestions for a ----stiva name would rock) and am making great progress. Just have to hope the J?Y tranny is good and I didn't screw anything up installing it. MID-Westiva!!!

^ That's the spirit. I still don't know if I can make it. I'm in training with the new job and have no seniority. Plus I'm working rotating shifts while I'm in training. I get a week vacation this year but hate to use any in the first month. I really want to make it. This should be a great turn out and southern MO is nice country. Plus Ive got a friend in Springfield who would put be up till Xmas if I asked him. :? It would suck to miss a meet in my home state. Kingfish I have no life either I guess, I only need 700 posts to top 5000. :wink:

Well.... So it is. I have no funds left. Car is done. Just have to sell the 88 to get the paper work right and it's good. But I have no money for any kind of indulgence. Even the 40 bucks for gas to and from the 'Zarks is too much. I am even going to sell my Beetle is anyone is looking for one. I was really looking forward to this but there is always next year.

I have to work from 11am to 11pm on both Saturday and Sunday. :roll: Sorry guys, Id do nearly anything to make it. Id love to meet up. Having to work for a living sucks. If it wasnt a brand new job Id ask for time off, but I havent even been there even a month yet. Axlander I might do some crying myself. KingFish, Id invite you up to the house for a miniest meet but I dont even know when I could fit that in. I hope you will come up and talk festys with me sometime. You all have a great time, Ill be thinking of you and bumming on work. :cry: Ill be there in spirit, believe me. I hate to miss a meet in my home state. Take lots of pics for me.
