Me and Gravelcrawler went to the JY on Saturday to get a transmission for my Aspire... We arrived later than expected and was only able to get half way done before they chased us off and locked the gate.

I've been freaking out all week hoping that no one would come along and snatch the trans from that car before I could get back down there. Especially since we had conveniently jacked up the car and removed the axles.... It was just begging to be stolen out from under me.

So today I finally was able to go back and finish the job! So I now have a replacement 5spd trans for my Aspire! (Side note: My original trans finally crapped out at 275K!!!!)

In the next week or so I hope to get it installed in my car. Then I'll be able to start working on my funtop installation!!!

I think I am not going to risk the festiva breaking down on the trip and will dolly it down behind my truck... Really wish I could drive it, but the cheap ebay turbo on it would surely be the piece to fail, and the greddy still needs a rebuild. Not to mention the tune is off on it :-P Just can't wait to see all these festivas!
