Dang. Driving slightly reclined with a pillow behind my head has helped. Good thing Festivas are so small. I can still see and drive perfect.

I've seen some real beaters at Festiva madness. You don't need to bring an awesome car. Just bring yourself.

I hear you on that. Remove the back seat to bring along a hoist, tools, spare engine, starter and other necessary stuff to ensure a 20 year old car remains mobile.
Just kidding: although a buddy and I toured the US northeast coast back in the mid-70s in a $50 Austin Mini with extra wheels strapped to the roof and enough engine parts and tools to do an entire rebuild. That time we were lucky and did get home OK, but another friend had to abandon his worse-for-wear MGA at a corner gas station in Carolina because of a blown engine. He came home on the bus.
