    • We're at exit 102 on 85 in Blacksburg SC eating some McDonalds. Only one more stop after this :-) See some of y'all soon, the rest tomorrow. Stopped by BeBandit's on the way up, he's doing good now just bummed about not getting to come. This is so much fun watching everyones progress lol

Paul's absolutely correct. "Madness" is not just a clever name for the meet! It's a way of life with these little cars!

I know... preachin' to the choir!

Focustiva: Because I was told it was was impossible to fit a Focus bumper on a Festiva.

            • My wife and I got in from Michigan around 9pm albeit Festiva-less. Staying at the Hampton right down the street from the meet. We were passed by a blue Festiva with Ohio plates on I77, maybe around 6:30, probably in VA. I didn't see it until it was past me. Looking forward to meeting everyone and checking out cars tomorow. If anyone has a time machine that I can borrow, I'd like to back a month or so and do some work on mine so it could be here!

Just kidding: although a buddy and I toured the US northeast coast back in the mid-70s in a $50 Austin Mini with extra wheels strapped to the roof and enough engine parts and tools to do an entire rebuild. That time we were lucky and did get home OK, but another friend had to abandon his worse-for-wear MGA at a corner gas station in Carolina because of a blown engine. He came home on the bus.
Removing the back seat is quite unnecessary. http://youtu.be/G6eMNvsvWH0

                    • Area Festy 1 members DriverOne, MadScientist, and sshort1986 signing in. We've set up base at the Days Inn Crabtree along with Sparky and his family. The trip wasn't without incident. I'm praying for the two individuals who were airlifted to Spartanburg Memorial this afternoon.

                      DriverOne out.
                      In love with a MadScientist!:thumbright:
