I could probably give some competition too if I remove the muffler and cat LOL. 2" mandrel bent stainless, we tried it straight piped one night and HOLY CRAP it was LOUD!!
I agree, I usually HATE open exhaust...but I gotta say, it sounded pretty good for open . You wouldn't be able to sneak up on a glass of water in the car and the glovebox would fill up with tickets within 12 hours, but it sounded mean for a B3
If a hammer doesn't fix it you have an electrical problem

I've had two muffler failures on stock B3s. The inlet pipe weld likes to break. I took the muffler completely off one car when this happened. The car did get louder, but not super obnoxiously loud. I just sounded like a cherry bomb fart can or the like.

Can someone bring a good t-belt idler from either a b6d or bp? I'll pay or trade for one. Mine started making noise and the 2 I got from napa were defective and they're all 2 days out special order around here! I'd like to swap it out while I'm at the meet. Also looking for good front fenders.
If anyone needs parts I have a lot of carb and fi b3 stuff and a pile of rims and tires and an auto trans, aspire harness and maf sensors, I also have a set of 2nd gen rx7 rotory phone dial wheels that have the stock festiva bolt pattern [that I might let go for the right dollars]. I should have done a f/s thread earlier but I'll have one up tomorrow, I have lots of things I cant think of now but I'll write it up tomorrow. Pm me with questions.

That's because you still had a cat and probably a resonator keeping it somewhat civil. Trust me...if it was open you would know.
