removing my head on B3, machine it to higher compression?

The head is back from the shop, rocker assy installed... now i am in the midddle of doing the rings. can't wait to get back together..

so you got it done to 0.020" off, what was the approximate cost mate

Well, the guy i took it too charged $35 for taking off 0.020" on the deck.. also lapped the valves, and installed them... plus cleaning and pressure checking the head... was $150 total. Fairly reasonable in my opinion.

got my new piston rings installed in pistons and pistons in the block... now i need to connect them to the crankshaft... SLOOOWWLY but surely this thing is coming together... head is all done waiting to be inserted. I can't wait to get'er going again! With gas as high as it is, my 24mpg ford ranger will be trumped by this 40 mpg (hopefully) beast.

As far as performance, still working out some bugs, but before it quit it had low compression in #3 and I don't know what to compare it to as this is my first festy but at least she's on the road!
