MSD6 BTM for timing control, you can adjust how much timing per lb you want to take out. Mine liked about .8 per psi- about 8* retard at max boost.

cool set up man and i do wish mine spooled a little sooner, but i could not ditch the a/c because it is hot down here year around, I think I might benefit from a little smaller turbo too. Mine is an old eclipse turbo. Just being different, just like owning a festiva

I do agree w/ the heat. Drove that same setup on my old car (in sig) to key west a few years back. I wished I had ac too.

it doesnt matter where you mount your turbo when you compress air it gets hot thats physics. if intercoolers didnt work then why would anyone use them. And how can you promise yours gets more complements? How about this i promise intercoolers are better!

PS resuwrecked thats a sick paint job i love it

This manifold came out pretty good! did you have any trouble with the stock manifold cracking?
What did you do for fuel managment at 10psi?

Cyl 1 primary did crack once, so i unwrapped it and welded it and all was good. Be sure to use a turbo brace when using tubular manifolds. I was and it still cracked, probably from the heat. I ran the dog **** out of it daily for almost 2 years before doing the bp swap. I replaced the in-tank pump with a walbro255 and used the 12:1 for fuel and had almost perfect afr's till about 10-11psi on stock injectors.

                            That is a B8, not a BP.

hanks again for all the help Ill keep everyone updated on the turbo project. Im picking up a 90 fuel injected funbox at the end of the month and have most of the parts, I still dont know what injectors I should use though, and I am going to use the safc2 but not sure what response I will get from the motor. One of the first things Im doing is going to the pick and pull and getting a spare motor because chances are I will blow mine up because it has a modest 212,000 mi on it and I dont think she'll like being boosted (but thats not her choice its mine, lol). but anyway Ill keep everyone updated
                              -thanks again
-90 festiva - bp swap "relentless" (thanks matt) aspire swap, pacesetter, underdrive pulley
