Nice job on the manifold, more guy's here need to see it and be inspired by that design!
Post pics of the wiring diagram/instructions from the msd btm, so I can get a look at it.
How high are you going to boost this thing, you may not even need to retard it at all!?

Im planning on 5 psi or less of boost so im thinking that a btm will not be necessary just maybe enough fuel and a colder set of plugs . gonna try the stock pump for now and watch the afr's and egtmp. I emailed msd and msd tech forum and both of them reinforced my thinking that it isnt going to work with the aspire disty since the coil and icm are self contained. just hooked up the innovate lc-1 wideband controller and led gauge. seems to work nicely. possibly in the future a megasquirt may see usage. my stainless downpipe just came and the last of the couplers have arrived. still have to mount the air box oil pan now has a 1/2" npt fitting heliarced in it and it was repainted. slowly but surely its getting done. the great thing about doing things yourself is you have the abiltiy to do it just the way you like. i tend to be picky with fitment.... as my summer long project has taken awhile

Yeah I didn't think you'd really need to retard it. If you wanted to feel better about it you could just knock a couple of degrees off the base timing, but I really don't think you need it. What fuel are you running? I go to 7psi and don't retard mine at all, but I am spraying water and methanol over 5psi, but not really for heat control, more for the extra fuel. It is satisfying being able to lavish the time to get everything just so. Most of the guy's don't have the luxury of a second car to take the project car out of service.

Yeah im crazy i have 2 other vehicles but i havent used either as a fall back for this build, My Pristine '03 Shadow Gray Lightning and '01 Violet Pearl Ninja 500R which are both pleasure vehicles and i rather ride my mountain bike to work than get the truck outta storage . The only time i took the aspire out of service for this build was to pull the oil pan to weld the bung and repaint it. everything else ive mocked up after work after 5 pm and put it back together for the drive home @ 9 . i can have the manifolds swaped over in about 15 min. ive been dying to get back to working on it. I had an unusual setback thursday where i blacked out from severe pain in my midsection in the afternoon and fell back and split the back of my head open on the concrete. 8 staples later..! Im here, Not Dead Yet... Still havent figured out the issue but i blame it on a Culvers Hamburger my friend bought me...

ran the oil feed tonite, temporarily plumbed in my tester oil pressure gauge to get a baseline of the pumps operation, looks great. still unsure if i need to run a restrictor for the IhI vj-14. some say yes, some say no. i need to think about it before im sure but i think all i have left is to wire in the autometer egt sensor for the gauge and then its a tryout time

anyone have a brand and or a part number for the proper spark plug with an next colder heat range for an aspire b3 turboed to 5psi . currently using single platinum motorcraft oem spec range. lots of boosted mustang guys use denso if im not mistaken.

NGK....the number in it is the heat range and the higher the number the colder the plug. Also make sure to gap them about .020 or the boost will blow the spark out and you'll be scratching your head....and use premium gas...You will be ok with the stock heat range if you are only going 5 psi. And the oil feed should be restricted to about .050 or fifty thousands. Too much and you will see alot of smoke coming out your exhaust......I know from experience....
