  • "factory" boost-juice?

hey as you guys may know i like modding my car... if all goes as planned im getting a b6t soon and one of the mods im doing is a water/meth injection kit. the engine bay is already gonna be packed with junk so any space saving will help my question is did they change the mounting spot for the washer fluid bottle from (88-89) to (90-93)? on the 90-93 i know its on the drivers side, but i think on the 88-89 ones it was on the passengers side... so if i got the 88-89 bottle would it fit in my 90 festiva? did they take off the brackets? then i could have a factory looking bottle and still have the boost juice would this work?

Yes the carb models had it on the passenger side while the FI have it on the driverside under the bumper. I think they are swappable

Use the rear window washer bottle in the stock location. Won't take up any room in the front of the car. If I ever get to the junkyard and find one its what im going to use.

No it doesn't, it's on the drivers side like the rest of the 90'-93' Festivas. I can get you some pics of the passenger side bottle, and I'm pretty sure the mounts are already there, I may be doing this to my car if you can.

Went out and checked and it will fit after a few modifications, you have to remove the bracket that the air filter box bolts to, and relocate the VAF because the bottle gets in the way. Also you have to drill a small hole to have enought clearance for the wiper bottle motor. The pics will explain.

2 Bolts that mount the bottle

                      Bracket you need to remove

                      88-89 style bottle

Where you need to drill a hole for clearance

Picture of the hole on a 89 Festiva

                      Hope this helps

thanks this is looking good, it may work and my car will have the vaf on the other side when its done and then when i make my custom manifold it will be back on the passenger side but by that time i will be running a megasquirt or somthing like that... no vaf needed

No problem, I may do this on my car too. The VAF will aready be on the other side where the battery used to be on my car since it will have a B6-ME swap when it's done.
