Has any one installed a 4 in 1 header on a b3? Does it makes more power? If I install headers, do I have to increase the exhaust pipe diameter?

FMS sells B3 headers. I'm gonna buy one for my Aspire. They will not help in the low RPM range, but will help in midrange and higher RPM; maybe 2500 - 6000 RPM.

I wouldn't increase exhaust pipe diameter though. It decreases exhaust flow speed.

DON'T use the B6 header for a B3, the primary is way too big. Tom, if tuned properly, a header can increase the low end torque of an engine. but typicaly they're tuned for upper RPM power.

I had just rebuilt my engine with new pistons and rings and valve seals. I want to make an exhaust header 4-2-1. Does it really makes power difference?

On the dyno, my header increased hp & tq through out the entire rpm range, though likely wont be as much on a stock b3. I'm selling my header if your interested.

^ I'm going to guess that mattdickmeyer is at work so waiting 12hrs really doesn't give much time to respond, espically on a fairly slow board such as this. Give it time young Padawan.

Im guessing around $100 in shipping

Matt, are you still offering a DIY pre-bent header kit? Could you do a Tri-Y design or just the 4-1 ?

It have a cold air intake. Does It makes a difference in power? Also If I buy a set of brand new spark plugs leads will it increase power?

Cold air = marginal increase, spark plugs/wires unless the ones on there really are old & sucky = again marginal increase.

A new cam will be the single largest increase that you can get without forced induction

Tune up will make no difference in power unless old stuff causing a missfire, although i did find a couple of hp by running autolite XP 3924 's (turbo run XP 3923 's ), best gap .028-.030. Just some info.
