Anybody else get a look into this sort of stuff? Karl brings up a good point with the Protege F5MR and the Escort FD... the Protege/Escort share 5th gear ratio, so you could still get the same 1st/5th gear with slightly zippier 2nd, 3rd, and 4th by taking a Protege F5 and swapping the diff only. AKA cheaper and easier solution to getting maximum MPG and minimum RPM/MPH.1988 Chevy Sprint Turbo 997cc

I just did a 5th gear swap from an early 626 (non GT) into an Escort GT trans and it dropped the RPM's by 500 in 5th for the guy.89 Festiva L Carby 4 Speed... RIP. Evicted and Scrapped. I HATE MY FAMILY

Finding a FS Escort just got a little easier, thanks to some help from FEOA.net!

E = 3.41
J = 3.62
Don't confuse it with the Transaxle code which is:
W = 5 Speed
E = Automatic1988 Chevy Sprint Turbo 997cc
