Wow thought it wouod be hard but before I installed them in my festiva I went to the junkyard that morning and installed the one on a festiva and put it back. Peace of cake.. did it thought the distributor side. Have battery located in the back so I'm good wow what a creaking difference. I can say i made bout 14+ HP having the fuel pressure to 40 .psi. can't wait to install my 255lph fuel pump to pump up the pressure

cams caps? i had to shave some of the metal where the distriburator goes becuase it was to thin. i will take pictures of the car and will get videos as soon as i can =) dyno i cant at the moment =( but i will take pictures and videos. i just having little problem the fuel pump is failing sometimes and cant handle so much pressure. have the 255lph walbro fuel pump waiting for the right time to install it. still dont know how.=) pictures of the car will be uploaded today

also planning on cheking in the junkyard if a b6 manifold fits the b3. dont know if that will make a diffrence but hey trying to doesnt hurt=)

this does NOT make sense, and you CANNOT install a cam without taking the cam caps off.

If you do NOT know what cam caps are then I doubt you installed a cam. Just saying.

I've been a mechanic for a LONG time and know these cars (along with a few dozen others) very well.

Maybe opening the groove in the end of the camshaft for the dizzy to fit?

nope it really doesnt i will take pictures and prove to you guys i did installed it... no offense but i am a curious guy, you guys say you have to be carefull etc, but beleive me it took me 30 minutes just to put the cams in very easy job if you dont have the battery in the way . it was easier then i thought. and its running awesome. ill show pics and vids and you will see.

Maybe I'm just missing something, but doesn't this car still have a B3 in it (no, running BP injectors does not make it a BP :-P). If so then there aren't any cam caps on it... at least I've never removed cam caps to change a cam on a B3. The twin cam engines have cam caps, but not the SOHC. Have to remove the rockers and thrust plate (I think is what its called) but thats it. Though I've never had to do much grinding to get them to fit.

do you have the actual "fms race cam" or is it the fms comp cam i ask because dont you have to raise the compression to run a race cam? i love my comp cam sometimes i can feel it hit and it feels like v-tec. and i love the idle it gets me alot of funny looks sounds like a 8 cyl.
