Has anyone run one on thier car? Seeing as how they dont make one for festys it seems this would be a good idea without having to drill or cut the car apart...

Haven't run one, but did some reading and checking them out. Saw a good argument about the extra length of pipe being a detriment and I'd have to agree with it. I understand we aren't exactly air hogs, but I'd just as soon keep the intake pipe as short as I can make it. Might be ok for turbos, but with all the fabrication already involved I just don't see the point.

I think that is some of the appeal to most people. I just thought it might make a nice alternative. I'll likely just fab up my own though, anyone made thier own on a b8?

fooler cooler non spooler ha ha. my main thought would be that thing would get so caked up wit dirt and bug guts in no time flat and if you live in pa then your dealing with road salt. a rock could put a hole in it on the highway or something too, there is an advantage and functional reason they put the intake under the hood when they designed our cars. but nothin wrong with asking and checking out new products i do it all the time and half of them wouldnt work out

I plan on making my own cold air intake. Im gonna flatten out the tubing going over the engine and relocate my battery so the filter can sit where the battery is now. Good idea?
