Thank you for checking this thread out KIADOHC. I don't think your z5 is the same one we get in the united states. I think ours is less output-lower compression, which means a good thing, we should be able to boost it just like you with good timing management. When you boost your engines is the head or valves modified in any way? Next question is have you dynotested any of the z5 combo's out of your shop or your own cars? A drag race time would be great too if anyone has done this.

Wow, so you're right. Looks like my buddy got hosed!
Looking at http://www.werbatfik.com/jdmintake.htm it seems that this is actually an intake from Japan, but it's not the better JDM one. Seeing as the turbo is a VJ-13 as well, it's still JDM, but not with the better intake manifold. Anyhow, back to the 1.5L...Last edited by thered56; 05-12-2011, 01:07 AM.

some minor issues, the b3 dizzy doesnt line up good with the b6T head so i cant put a bolt in it yet, im trying to figure out how i can fix it...
secondly there is a little bit of a squeaky noise.. i dunno if thats just because the waterpump was working without water, or it might be the stupid tensioners,
lastly i need to still make an exhaust, and thats all... turbo should be comin soon .

That's crazy. I didnt know a b3 distrubutor can run a dohc engine. I thought you were using b6t electronics the whole time. Now i bring this detour up because i asked if a b8-me would work in a BP and was shot down.1993 GL 5 speed

im running a b6k1 ECU (sohc 1.6) , b6 SOHC maf box, and green top injectors to run the 1.6 DOHC motor.
car starts fine dont know how it drives yet, i need an exhaust and waterneck for it to be drivable.
the guy who sold me a turbo on club protege is being a jerk, paid on tuesday but no turbo/email/ nothing yet. going to contact paypal in the next 2 days if nothing happens...
ARGH i hate people like that.

So he invoiced me last monday, paid him tuesday AM sent PMT... he said he might be able to ship it thurs or friday, but saturday he was going to ship it. No call or contact yet and its monday, oh and i paypal'd him the money
what are the chances getting my money back it things go sour? do i just file a dispute on paypal or do something else?
