A buddy was discussing the escort coil pack and a trigger wheel are adapted to several different vehicles to eliminate their distributer. Has anyone done this to their Festiva?

there is a gentleman doing a B3 swap to his miata and he is using the miata DIS.
there is a thread about his build somewhere about 2 days agoTrees aren't kind to me...

94 Justy 4WD, 87 Fiero GT, plus 2 parts cars. That's my fleet.

the build hasn't gotten that far yet.Trees aren't kind to me...

EDIS and Miata CAS/Coilpacks can be adapted to b-series engines, but you need a standalone ECU to manage them. (there was a standalone spark controller at one point, I don't think it ever took off) Or OE engine management conversion (such as Miata ECU into festiva)1991 Mercury Capri XR2 "GTXR2" BPT Swapped AWD Conversion

To add to this , Ford also has their DIS ignition modules.
Its only found in the V6 SHO (89-95) and the 3.8 Supercharged (T-bird SC Cougar)

I found a spark stand alone system called mega jolt. Kinda like the spark only control system of the full megaquirt.Im not driving a Festiva because I'm poor. I drive a Festiva because i want to!

With the 14 psi I'm cramming into my little sohc, I'm not really in a position to go megasquirt just yet. I have a fuel controller but no way to modify the stock timing maps. I have my base timing pulled back to 7deg and still getting a littlespark knock over 5k, the bottom end/out of boost power has declined trying to keep it from detonating up top. I would LOVE to run cops to elliminate the possible change of blowing out the spark, and want to keep it as advanced as possible at the bottom end without having spark knock.Im not driving a Festiva because I'm poor.
