A couple of weeks ago I purchased one of Lex's Generic ND64 MSPNP units for my aspire turbo project. The goal is to use it for the B3+t and later on use it for a BP+t setup. I have been corresponding with him with a few questions along the way of setup and he has been great with turn around replies. I have offered to supply him with all the correct wiring information that will be necessary for him to add aspire to his list of vehicles that it fits in the future.
I have made a few charts to help me decipher the correct pin locations to the corresponding pin locations on the ms unit. I did however find a few discrepancies in the ford evtm PCM connector pin chart. It incorrectly listed CID as CKP and vice versa. It also incorrectly had vref and signal return backwards as well, ( I verified this by checking on my own tps with a meter).
Just wanted to give some insight to my project thus far. I have gotten all of the jumpers ran inside the PNP unit but I have to swap the vref and signal ones I want to keep it plug n play (no connector pin swapping) so I can mess with tuning and if need be plug back in the stock PCM to drive temporarily. I've gotten a chance to hook it up to tunerstudio on my laptop using the external power input and familiarize my self with it a bit and I have to say, this is awesome.! Almost reminds me of ford Ids (with the little ms icon in the lower corner )but better cause I make the tune not ford...!
If anyone has any questions or info I would be pleased to answer and accept. I'm just gonna say that before it gets plugged in, due to the awesome diagrams ford borrowed and butchered from Mazda, I will be pinpoint testing every wire and verifying it does what it is supposed to do, also before I send any info to lex as well so no one will blow a new PCM on my account.
