Essentially, your wiring harness runs through the firewall in one place. The main harness contains the essentials to run your car. In my case, yes it is a MAF car.

MAF, TPS, IAC, CPS, ignition pickup, Dizzy, Injectors, FPR, ECT, KS, backup light switch, ENTIRE ENGINE BAY FUSE PANEL, etc. Re-looming the whole mess And extending/shortening some wires (which was made to fit into a Kia Sephia) will reduce this process from yanking all those brittle connectors off all those hard-to-reach plugs to a matter of 3 seconds of disconnecting ONE plug. 2 hours of fun (I like electrical stuff) to have this engine turned into a 4 coolant hose, IC piping, 10-bolt removal process is heaven.

Please include the MAF wiring instructions. I have been looking for that.

if you happen to do a B6 as well.. that would be wikked too.

BTW i have a 1991 Ford Festiva and putting in a 1992 B6 from a Ford Capri (Mercury Capri), basically the same car, swap hands over.

The MAF part is really stupid simple. I'll do a diagram for you later and post it. Cool?

Writeups and how-to articles are a waste of time because, if they are good, they get buried at the bottom of the forum and people forget about them. Most people don't know about all the articles down there. Do you know how many people have written a how-to article on removing a transmission after there was one placed in the article section? I have seen at least 3, and I rarely visit the repair forum.

It's all the same. I'm not re-inventing the wheel. That's the kicker. EVERYONE ELSE tried to re-invent the wheel. That's what DAMKID is talking about... everyone wants to try and slop something together and the spend weeks chasing their tails over something as simple as bad grounds and mis-matched PCMs. I'll rectify that.

Haha..please do. Do an aspire next for fun! With or without an actual build, just make a harness :p

Here's some pics of the rear mount...this won't be the exact same on your festiva, but you could probably do this, then ream out the tranny mount holes laterally to position it right.

This one will hopefully be so dumbed-down and logical it become a sticky in an ALL NEW FORUM.

We need a super-comprehensive forum with every 'Gotta-have-it' article in it. JUST ONE forum.

^ i like this idea because i hate wiring and have experienced first hand how much it sucks when you have to deal with someone elses bad wiring. so it would be good to have a good detailed wiring setup. -thanks don

Actually a "Schematic" or "Wiring" thread would be a good place to start. I've often wondered why we dont have an "Electrical" thread. And then broken down into Chassis & Engine.

This pic was posted in my build thread.

LADD bulkhead connectors, pins and install tools. Quick removal is the the idea. Why? Because
