Our forged power piston kit utilizes technology used in our most high end engine programs. With features found in F1, MOTO GP & recently NASCAR, make these pistons worth 25-35 HP all by themselves. Machined from 2618 forged billet stock. Features include -1.9 cc flattop, 12-1 compression, side relief skirts ( slipper skirts ), internal pin & skirt milling for weight reduction, double forced pin oilers & banana grooves ( for pressurized pin oiling ), pin circlip pick reliefs, valve reliefs machined to accept our OS valves & our high duration high lift cams, H13 tool steel wrist pins with friction reduction surface treatment. As well as moly coated skirts. Our ring package includes a F1 spec 1.0-1.0-2.0 ultra low drag ring set with PVD ( physical vapor deposition ) surface treatment & is custom made for our pistons. Combine these features to reduce piston drag from stock 13.1 lbs of pull per piston to our 2.8 lbs of pull. Making this piston kit the 1st & most advanced kit available for the Festiva crowd.

Yes, prices. I'm thinking it's out of my budget, but I can dream.Any difference that makes no difference is no difference.

You b6 guys talk about that extra 30 hp you get from a swap.
If the piston pull on a stock piston creates 13.1 lbs of resistance x4 cylinders 52.4 lbs of force total.
And at 2.8lbs of resistance on these x4 cylinders would be 11.2lbs of force total.
So 52.4lbs-11.2lbs
These new pistons free up 41.2lbs of force.
So what would that 41.2lbs of force equate to in ft lbs of torque freed up to the wheels
Would the engine actually gain 41.2ft lbs (or rather free up)
And that 25-30 hp or more gain (freed up)
Sound like this mod would be comparable to swapping in a b6 without having to buy the donor car, ecu, wiring, engine mounts, exhaust system, or just about any other pain associated. With the swap.
Not to mention I bet the b3 weighs less resulting in more power per lb.
What an awesome creation.

I hope some custom options are available. I want all out flats. No valve reliefs for me. And comp at more like 10:1. But, again, price would be nice.Any difference that makes no difference is no difference.

I'm assuming these are a certain price based on having to buy a certain amount at a time.
to have a one off made it would probably cost matt more which would be passed on to the consumer.
Remember you could run these and have your custom cam grind compensate
By lowering the dynamic compression ratio. It may be more cost effective.

The thing is if he gets these as 12:1 with valve reliefs, it wouldn't be much(I wouldn't think) to mill the crowns down to 10:1, and forget the reliefs. But, I'll wait and see.Any difference that makes no difference is no difference.

Kit cost $860.00 and about the only other option would be hard anodizing. I can make these 4 at a time as they made from forged billets not raw forgings, Raw forgings are 80% finished when forged 20% finished by machinig, billets blanks that require 100% machining. I went with 12-1 because thats what everyone was asking for , to reduse the compression ratio just open up the chamber the appropreate amout to achieve desired ratio as this will help cylinder head flo as well. I really get the feeling few of you know the time and expense and know how required to do what we do here, theres no wand waving in my industry.PROPOGATE! AND FACILITATE!

So when I get to the point I need these I wouldn't mind having my bore upsised.
You said .080 over was the max that would leave room for another rebuild later?
Now my question is. Will the width of the piston depend on the bore size.
Or does this kit keep the piston one size and you just get different rings.
