I want to do this so bad. So say I don't care about the IAC stuff. What's the bare minimum I need to get started?

And what's your "logic theory"(not sure if that makes sense) like? Is it along the same lines as MS or more like a perfectly programmable carb?

Any difference that makes no difference is no difference.

I know this site and this project, great stuff tthere!

It's just that i do not agree with all the concepts and thats why i have my own project. But right now you guys are totally in front and i am jealous.

Still, i believe things could be done in a simpler and more modular way.

Hahaha.... They have the same views about megasquirt. That's the reason they started free ems.
The good thing is that ultimately, the system lends itself to run in almost any configuration you choose (provided you know how to make the changes and build the hardware to suit)
The ultimate thing is that we are all working with open source software that allows us to do whatever we want with it.

This is my first build so I've ordered a board and components from one of the guys. But after I'm settled with the entire system, I'll be looking at building one from scratch in a configuration that is optimum.

is there opportunity to have like a "preset option" setup for different conditions? so say you're on the track, you can setup track settings, ETC?

That in my opinion would be very handy.

Eventually there will be. Right now we are not there exactly - we are definitely in a more earlier phase with a lot of legwork in front of us.

I think so. I can solder, I can twist wires. I hope to have a car coming online in the next couple months to play with. Maybe sooner.

It seems like there is enough interest to make a small batch of at least the analog input boards. Ideally I would need to find someone who can fix my slightly imperfect board design or maybe I will just do it over the weekend, and we will see how this would go

Do you have a PCB schematic?
Im happy to build and test your system also.
What code are you using gnu c?
