The input board PCB is open and public it's located at http://rusefi.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=19 The board has some issues but it is totally useable as is. I am now trying to either recruit someone to help me with the issues or I will just fix them myself - it's my design so I am capable of fixing it. I might actually order a batch of five or ten and sell them individually with zero profit.

The output board was done in Eagle, it is useable - I use it - but it has more serious issues. I am now trying to figure out a better version in KiCad, ETA 10 days or less - it's this board http://rusefi.com/hardwave/6_ch_output.jpg

Yes the code is gnu C, more on everything at http://rusefi.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=239

Here is a video where this actually moves the car

Also there is some info how to start playing with all this at http://rusefi.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=242

So I'm still a bit fuzzy on this. The main board is just the processing unit, correct? So I still need to build injector drivers and an analog input "filtering" board? Then are the triggers just for on/off signals for ______?

I still don't quite get what I need to do to get from the main board to a functioning ECU. I understand the main board, injector drivers, and analog input board. What about ignition? Is that what the triggers are for?

Oh, and I don't need IAC functionality. Can't stand the things.

I might have jumped the gun here - looks like this is more like Alpha version, not Beta yet. But you can still join

I got that feeling when I first looked at the website, but I didn't want to assume.

Understood. I can definitely beta, but dev is not something I have much knowledge or any experience with. But I'll go ahead and sign up and keep in the loop if that's OK.

As soon as we have a set of boards, it would be Beta time.

Cant wait to see how this turns out!

I'm completley dumb with this stuff so please bear with me:

Are you able to adjust injector pulse width and duty cycle to accommodate for bigger injectors?

And will there be room in the future for knock sensing and timing retard with a boost sensor?

Yes, injection is already under my control.

Yes, knock sensing is in the works right now.

For now we are just playing with N/A engines but boost is in the plans.

Batch fire, or can you run it sequentially?

                      OH! Updated shopping list maybe?

My test vehicle is 96 Aspire, so I have sequential injection. That's pretty configurable so batch fire should not be a problem.

Mfg files for the boards you see on the video are available but it's probably worth waiting for the updated versions, unfortunately here I have to wait 3 weeks to get each new revision manufactured so that I can confirm they work.

Festiva is batch fire, and I think so is the BP, but don't quote me on that. I want sequential, and will be building a BP swap. Until then, I will be riding B3.

Festiva has 2 + 2 wiring but only one channel in the ECU - both channels are running via the same physical component inside the ECU

Escort GT has same 2 + 2 harness and two channels inside the ECU, but it _seems_ that both channels are being fired at the same time. I might be wrong on this.

96 Aspire has four wires and four channels in the ECU and they are squirting in a true sequential manner.

This is a tiny thing, with rusEfi the biggest part of converting a BP to sequential would be adding two extra wires into the harness. I guess OEM was just cutting costs a bit.

Oh, and just to make the picture full: stock B3 does not have the CID signal so you do not have enough signals to convert Festiva B3 to sequential. One can probably put a 96 Aspire dizzy on a B3 Festiva but that would be a custom ECU job, like rusEfi custom

My 95 is a dd with border line too high compression, add a knock sensor and push the envelope?
