Yes I did pull it myself the yard did help me though with a loader they even let me drive my truck back there near the car so they pulled it and put it right in my truck for me.

    • The more I read about the B8 the more I'm leaning towards that swap. Seems much simpler than the B6D, since you don't have to make a mount.

        • The b8 is very easy only issue is the intake will lean against the firewall. Some spacers on the rear trans mount might fix this.

          • And it is a very shaky motor but that's if your mounts aren't set up right I think

            • There's several engines on car-part.com for reasonable prices. I emailed a vendor about one of them, we'll see what happens!

              • Curious if this ever got sorted. And still interested in those rockers if you're swapping to a B8.

                • I haven't put enough money put together yet, but I am getting close. And I guess they never check email because I never received a response. Hopefully I'll get some more cash soon because there are a couple near me for $150 that have just over 100k on them.

I am curious as to whether or not hydraulic rockers will be able to be swapped in with this head. Do you think there could be anything that could prevent it? or are all SOHC B series heads practically the same when it comes to rockers?

                  • The 16v SOHC heads are unique, but your rockers look just like mine apart from obviously them being mech vs hyd.

They don't check email, no. I found that out. You gotta call them.

                    • Hey everyone, here is a quick video I recorded this morning showing the acceleration of my b6/b3-me combo. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sq7zRC_uHRI

Sketch does this seem about right in comparison to your B6-me? I'm assuming yours is a bit quicker. I want to see just how restrictive this head is, but either way, I'm going to do the B8 swap. i'm just a bit curious.

Sorry for the shakiness of the video, it was a bit difficult dealing with shifting and torque steer while recording.

                        • It does look similar, but it's tough to tell from just a video.
