This post is dedicated to people who are doing engines swap and are looking for a robust transmission which is easier to find and cheaper then the Capei xr-2/mazda 323 gt trans.
What this bracket/kit will allow you to do is a use a later mazda G25m-r and convert its hydrauclic actuated clutch movement into a mechanical movement which will allow you to retain your stock pedal as well as make the clutch set up less prone to failurea from hydraulic failures.
As time goes on its getting harder to find the older G15m-r transmissions due to they where limited production only found in the xr-2 and 323 Gt. With this kit you will be able to source transmissions from 91-95 Escort Gt's, bg Mazda Protege, Mercury Tracer Lts, and 95-97 kia Sephia. Not only are these transmissions more plentiful they are cheaper and have more webbing in the bell housing casting which helps improve strength.
If you are considering a engine swap you might want to consider using one of these transmissions due to these transmission are alot stronger then a weak Festiva trans.
Essentially with this kit it will allow you to take a donor car such as a escort gt, protege ect. and using the engine you will also be able to utilize the transmission and with use of the Kia rio axles you will have a easily sourced reliable swap.
This product is being offered exclusively through the Festiva store. There will be two versions available a complete kit with custom cable or just the bracket. If you decide just to buy the bracket I will include a video tutorial on how to make a custom clutch cable to fit your needs.
The plates are constructed of heavy duty steele plates which have been plasma cut and powder coated in satan black to protect from rusting and corroding.
What you will need to do is cut approximetly a 1/8 slot into your clutch arm so that the cable can pass through and the bolt can rest on the arm allowing the cable to pull on, so it can engage and disengage the clutch.
