Looks like a good one William. I'd just put new seals and gaskets in it, check the bearings and leave the rest alone. Don't even pull the pistons if you don't have to. It doesn't look like it was blowing by much at all.
The small nosed crank will be fine with a nice new crankshaft bolt, a new keyway and some red loc-tite. Make sure to carefully TQ the bolt to factory specs. The reason that the crankshaft fail is usually because the bolt was not installed properly or it lost its TQ for whatever reason.

        Few questions for you guys.
Where can I get the small nose crank bolt?
Also where can I find a flywheel for my g series? I heard the escort gt flywheel works but all I can find new is Aluminum And I would rather have a stock steal flywheel.
If I can't get new I'll be heading to the junk yard unless someone here has one that I can resurface.

I should have a small nose crank bolt sitting around. Are you interested in a used one?

One of the things I found yesterday was a whole stack of flywheels - and one that looks like a B6T flywheel AND clutch. I'll be going back to get 'em next month.

Mazda still sells the bolt and keyway. Go to a Mazda dealer and order a crank main pulley bolt and keyway for a 1989 miata.
Miata mecca is a good online source. Mike (the owner of miata mecca) always stocks those parts from the Mazda dealership. They are on eBay too, if that's easier for you.

                  Here is a remanufactured flywheel

I fixed it. It's an eBay link, sometimes they are quirky.

Thanks I'll probably order on ebay there isn't a mazda dealer within 50 miles of Me.
As for flywheel I've got one from shadtree .
I'm still trying to get this crank bolt out without any way to hold the engine I'm gunna need to get a bigger impact.

William, I bought my SnapOn 14.4 impact wrenches from a Pawn shop. If you want to get a larger one you might want to try a pawn shop.

Will, I use a "Chain Lock" vise grip to hold the engine from turning. Its like a bicycle chain on vise grips. Wrap right on the pulley, lock the chain tight, then lock the handle against something on the engine. Then a trusty breaker bar and pipe, if need be.

Tryed that and the pullie slipped inside it's self. The b6t and d have a built in dampener that is know to slip when it get some age oh it but I do have a b3 pullie that I could slap on there and break it loose. I'm gunna try that!

Looks good to me what do you guys think?

Is the crank bolt tty or just replaced as precautionary because of it being small nose?
