It's basically a straight air grinder with special rubber wheels. The air grinder has a limited RPM setting so you don't burnpaint up from the friction involved. I doubt you can get it at the McAuto parts stores..

I had a pretty old sticker on the back of my window and i took a razor and scraped it off but the adhesive glue was stuck onto the glass. "Goo Gone" took it right off. it's only a couple of bucks at Walmart. you wouldn't even know there was a huge sticker on the back of mine. Hope i helped!

^^ Ha ha, love the sig.

Stickers and decals came off pretty easily. Goo Gone is great stuff. Somewhere along the line, someone laid down a line of solid black glue.(factory??) Probably 3/4 inch wide and between 1/8 and 1/4 inch thick. Nearly got one side done now. Won't even tell you how we got the DOT stickers of the trucks at the cable company I used to work for.

It's a destriping wheel, made of rubber, that fits onto any drill. At stores that sell to body shops, and maybe some McParts places. Mine cost $15 and well worth it.

Okay, well now I feel like an idiot. My solution was laying on top of my computer desk the whole time. A piece of nylon/kevlar pull string from a copper jacketed fiber optic cable. Figured if it was strong enough to split the outer coating, and the copper jacket on a fiber cable, it could handle that glue. Took a piece about 2 feet long, got the edge of the glue loose, and used the pull string like a cord saw. Took me big chunks of 2 days to do the driver's side door + the short piece in front of the door. Just went out and finished the driver's side, and halfway down the passenger side in about 30 minutes.

^^ Wasn't sure. First set of trim pieces I've actually pulled all the way off. Either way, it'll be done the next time I get about an hour to work on it.
