It has a three screw base. It would have to be changed to use the Festiva two screw elevated mount base. We need some measurements to determine if it will fit. It is shaped better than the Mini visors. Mount close to the end, curved near the edge and slanted away from the edge of the rear view mirror. Now I have to look for X-Types!

I will retake this pic of the mounted Cooper vanity visors + Smart mirror after I find my monopod.

Notice our headliners are molded differently than the Phillipine Kia Pride headliners.
They must have grab handles and manual belts. Our visors lie flat and do not have any molded recesses.

My LH vanity visor is defective. The light comes on when it is vertical before you open the cover. The RH one does not. I just have to remember to leave it up when parked.
          They still look nice together.

Can you imagine paying almost $600 for a rear view mirror?
Allow me to be blunt. The Mercedes Smart mirror is perfect for looking out our rear hatches with seat headrests. It gives a great view + you save about $550.

I will have to keep an eye out for one of these Cadillacs in the junkyard.
It would be great to remove the headrests, rear passengers and baggage from the rear view mirror.

I just did this and agree that they fit very well. But about drilling to mount the clasp's, what are you drilling into? How did you located it?
Its kind of blind as that area is covered by the headliner & the clasp has both a locating pin and screw?

I mis-spoke in my post quoted above by needragr. I meant visors not mirrors!

If you look at an Aspire, you will see what I mean about using the hook thingy. The screw that holds it in is screwed into the front of the headliner. There is metal there (folded over from the roof) that gives structural support and a place to screw into. Festivas are built the same way.

The epoxy loosened after about thirty adjustments.
The mirror would not hold its position any more and drooped down.
I went to Skara foundry and heated the stock ball in the burner flame at the base of the crucible for about twenty seconds.
Then I dipped the ball in a ladle of molten aluminum for four seconds.
Sorry, I left my camera at home. No pictures.
After cooling, I took it home and smoothed the ball with a Dremel.
I popped it back into the mirror.
The mirror is far tighter than whatever grip the epoxy could provide.
Lets see if this is a permanent fix.
