the bottom of the seat is just stretched onto the Festiva seat cushion.
the seat back was a bit harder the Festiva back is split 50/50 and the EGT back is split 60/40. I just removed the seat covers and cut the larger seat down and sewed onto the narrow seat what I needed to make it the right width.
It would be much easier without the split seat as you could just cut them to the needed length and sew them together.
What is an EGT? google search turned up a stock ticker and gauges.

Looks good - that console is just a putty and paint job away from looking factory
keep us updated on the map pockets
you have any pictures of the rear seat swap process? I'm very interested in those your job looks factory
I didn't take any pics as I wasn't very sure how it would turn out. the seat bottom was no problem but cutting the foam seat backs to fit the Festiva frames was just trial & error.
I may partially take them apart and get some pics so you can get an idea of how I did it.

OK so you actually cut the GT foam to fit the festy frame
do you think that would be easier if you started with a full non-split rear seat and cut and welded supports to keep the 60-40 split?

The escort seat is approx. 4" wider than the Festy seat.
I don't know about keeping the split, if you use the non-split seat you could cut the foam to fit the Festy frame and then cut the Escort seat and re-sew it to the width you need.doing this would def be easier than trying to keep the split
