              I've got a few sharp swords would be much more efficient lol
              i may seriously try this though
              any recommendations on woods to use?
              i know some have more resins and such in them and wouldn't be as good
              i'm thinking something like oak or poplar maybe?

                    I'm a synthetic chemist don't much about wood (cellulosic biomass held together by hemi-cellulose) except it BTU content and potential source of ferment-able sugar for the production of ethanol.

                              ^ looks good, as usual. How deep did you thread it?

                              You could also thread the shift lever a little more to adjust it down if needed.

                                Threaded the knob about an inch. The shifter also has a 3" threaded rod extension so I can cut it or remove it if I want to lower it more, but I like how it sits now. Maybe I'll change the boot though.
