i think that would be more work than what its worth... you would spend more money on it than you would see back in gas savings...

Well most people wont drive a car that they think is ugly. It is why alot of people put bodykits on their cars.

See, if everyone drove the vehicle that got the best fuel economy for the class that they needed (small car, truck, etc), not only would we reduce our consumption, the car companies would start saying..."hmmmm maybe we should look into cool economic cars"......

Why would they look into cool economy cars if you just said screw looks and got what fits your needs...

Because they would be designing cool cars still, but the definition of "cool" would change.......

Just took out the rear seats, rear seat belts, rear speakers (I was using other speakers already), floor mats, rear ash tray, rear wiper and its motor, as well as all the extra junk that I carry along with me on a normal basis. I am pretty sure I reduced the weight by about 50-75lbs (I will be weighing all the stuff on Saturday).

Now it is a two seater! Hopefully it gets better mileage now! If not, I will be upset:protest::protest::protest::protest::protest: :protest:

As much testing I've done, weight doesn't make much of a difference with fuel economy at all. The thing that will help you out the most is some more serious aero mods.

Agreed the most bang for the buck are aero mods due to our horrendous Cd.
If we could cut 0.05 off our Cd, that has got to be worth a few MPG's.

What kind of testing have you done?

When I drove my fit, I tested my car completely cleaned out and got the same results as when I did a test with my car packed full of stuff plus a passenger.
