its super easy to make... get a stock shifter, cut the end off where it bolts to the linkage place the shifter loosely in a vice but close to the pivot ball, hammer the shifter through the pivot ball until it comes off, then take some 5/8" steel rod drill a hole to accept the linkage bolt, take the original "T" you cut off the bottom and drill a 1/2" hole through it(this cuts it in half and rounds the edges so you can weld it to the 5/8" rod. install the shift linkage bolt and use it to hold the 2 loose ends where the linkage bolts up nice and straight.trim the edges to match the stock width.
at this point you should have a hollow steel ball and a piece of 5/8" rod that will bolt to the shift linkage. "flatten" the ball just a little bit so that it requires a little force. it needs to be tight enough to be able to shift gears without moving but loose enough where you dont need to hammer it to get it to move it. if you hammer on it(like i did) you rip the rubber bushings out of the bucket and need a new one adjust shifter up and down until desired shifter throw is obtained. tack weld(or mark) the ball in place. remove shifter from car and put at least 3 good tacks on top and bottom. paint, install, and enjoyI know its a piece of crap but im still faster...and its 100% legal!!!!!
