    ABA testing maybe?
I think it has been done before (I think I saw it on the Aeromodder site). So all I have to do is do the "B" section of the ABA test........

Also, because the mods are only going to effect the gas mileage by 4-8% (or so), it will be difficult to see any difference over the natural variability of mileage (temp changes, city driving, tire pressure, etc).

What I am doing is leaving it on for an extended period of time, and since I have all last years data, I should see an increase in my average mpg this next while compared to last year at this time.......

fix (loosen up) your e-brake actuators. it requires removing the drums and actuators and making the actuator arm SLOPPY loose.

That seems like a lot of work, and I dont know how to do that either, lol.....Mine took 15 minutes and it is so perfect! And if/when it loosens, I give the turnbuckle a little turn!

your not using the ebrake, your just putting strain on the cable and frozen actuators which force them crooked in the drum and lock up the read that way.

it's actually an easy operation if you know how to replace your rear bearings. besides, it gives you and excuse to inspect and repack or replace andy worn bearings and inspect your shoes and drums for abnormal wear.

if you want to get the most MPG out of your festy, your rear brakes must be in top condition (any excess drag can cause a 5pmg drop OR MORE)

Do you have some low rolling resistance tires?
Those studded winter tires are like dragging

It'll be difficult to ascertain just how much difference all the mods make but you certainly haven't skimped on trying. Just switching from summers to snow tires costs me 10-15 % in average mileage, although temperatures and driving conditions in Ontario winters are also a major contributor in this.
If you were to do the exact same 100 km run on the same day and same weather conditions, with and without the add-ons, you'd minimize the extraneous variables and have some firm numbers to work with.
Merely by slowing down overall 10kph and accelerating very slowly in my 5 speed stock Festy I can achieve numbers like 5.2 litres per 100 k. And I suppose if I installed a Suzuki 1 litre 3-banger and skinny little 13 inch tires the numbers might get even better. But you know everything is a trade off in this game.

Yes, you and Burt have a good point, however not having them on may cause me to die, so I will have to stick with the studded winters for now.........

Also, when I compare my numbers with last year, I will be comparing them to a time where I was using the same tires, and if I switch now, I will see an increase in mpg, but will that be from the tires or from the mods? Nevertheless, I am keeping them on.....lol
