Ok, I must not be as much a UBER slacker as I thought. Got a mock up on the seats going last night.
Swapping in a seat, that has rails that are level, (PM seats) into a car the has 1 3/4 height diff (Festy) takes a little ingenuity!
I just got a bunch of diff pcs of steel, with some nuts and bolts, a few C-clamps, and did some mods to the seat feet to see what I need to make this swap work. It's gonna work, just have to get the right combination.
I do know this now. If your gonna do this ... make sure ya get the seat feet from the SAME yr festy!!!!
I have an 88. The seats I got were from a 92. 2 of the feet are different between 88-89 and 90-93 yrs
I think I can mod those 2 feet, but it takes a little more work.
Heres pix:
cleaning off the old weld on feet

Pix of the shimming up/down to work around the 1 3/4 height diff and extending outward each side to make up the 3 1/4 rail width diff.
The rails being closer together on the PM seats actually helps. I cant just add 1 3/4 on one side to make up the 1 3/4 height diff. It makes the seat sit to high in the Festy.
Soooo... the extensions for the rail WIDTH will allow me to mod and bend a bracket to lower the feet on one side even lower than the rail
What I have to do is split the diff on the 1 3/4 rail height. I am going raise one side by welding in a spacer, the other side by bending the extension bracket for the foot to lower that side. About 7/8 higher one side, and 7/8 lower opp side

In the pix, the extentions look like they stick out really far! Its mostly an optical illusion. When set upright in the Festy they look fine. The PM seats are a tad bit wider and the rails are also closer together, so its about 1 5/8 extension each side, plus the feet also get attached to that extension.
