You need to attack this from 3 angles.
First you need to stop vibration or resonating. This is done with cld tiles " foil backed butyl" in your favorite flavor.
This step is the most over done it only needs to be 20% coverage any more than that and your wasiting your money but the company that sells this stuff won't tell you that. Butyl is only good at the one job .
Next is blocking out sound this is done with mass .
Mass load vynal. Its the stuff used in theaters in the walls .the heavier the better most is 1 pound per square foot but there some out there close to 2 psf .
Next is sound absorption this is done with closed cell foam and 3M acoustimat
It looks like pillow fluff and can only be used is places with lots of room like quarters and sometimes above the headliner . The closed cell foam is thin and can be layed over the mlv and cld tiles
If you want more info then you care to read check out sounddeadershowdown .com

I have been looking for mass loaded vynel locally and not having much luck. Do you happen to know any name brands of it maybe or what kind of stores sell it? Thanks.

Home Depot has it! That's about the only place I can find around me.
Although it's non automotive it should still do the job

Ok you said 20% coverage for the butyl mat floors? roof? doors? Also do you layer over that with the rubber or focus on another area

Stinky? The mass load vinyl? I've head of the asphalt based peal and seal smelling like the bp oil rig but I wouldn't think the mlv would smell any different then the rest but I've not Tryed it.

Well the sound proofing went well, we just used some carpet foam. Its mold resistant and water resistant so it should last a while, ive got some pics of the process if anyone is intrested.
