Ok, if I understand this correctly: I can increase my rim size to a 13" by matching up from the reference list given, say to a Tercel or even an Echo.

The Tercel and the Corolla I got my wheels off of have the same center bore as the festiva. What I was saying was that not all the car on the list have the same center bore as a festiva.

here is a reference i found that list wheel sizes for cars. i had thought of putting 13's on mine as well. thought i had another reference as well, but couldnt find it.

Todd00: thanks for the reference sheet it's looking invaluable. And Freshtiva the cardboard template for the Center Bolt and lug bolt pattern ingenius.
Question I have is according to Todd00's ref. sheet the Festiva hasn't any CBolt size listed. So aside from Freshtiva's cardboard tool what are we to do? I really don't want to spend $22.00 to $26.00 for DJ's Lug measuring Tool.
A mechanic told me all I needed was the Bolt Pattern measurements in a 13" rim. What's the truth, what do we need?
(growing desperate for 12" tires without paying $51.00 each + $11.60 ea. s/h + mounting charges).

My nephew put my .99 cent ( ebay ) 13 inch tire on my free 13 inch rim today. He works at a tire place so it was free mounting and balancing with new valve stem. Nephews are good for something. I plan on using it for a spare when I switch over to 13s. I compared the size to an old mounted 12 inch tire. They are almost exactly the same height, maybe a little shorter than the 12s. Not sure what the point is, but there you go. No matter where you are or who you're with, there you are.






And no, they arent attached to the riding mower.

a p145/80R13 is almost the exact same height as an original 12 inch festiva tire.

i put DOUGLAS 155-80-13's on my 88 festiva, no rubbing and by a gps, my speedo is off by 1 mph.

That was going to be my question. I was thinking of going to 13's because I'm unable to find very many places with 12's. However, I was concerned about the sppedo being off. How do you compensate for this, or do you change the speedo gear somehow?

You'd simply find a tire that is "basically" the same overall diameter as the original tires.

That's one of the best tire size calculators I've found out there... Put in the original Festiva tire size and put in the size you are going to run. It'll give you how much bigger or smaller the new ones are, how much your speedo will be off, etc.
