  • 26 spline hub?

Is there any 26 spline hub that will work with the festiva? Any spindle/hub swap I can do, that normaly wouldn't be done because of our 24 spline axles? I also have 16" wheels so the discs can be huge and not be a problem.

Could I use an Escort GT spindle, hub, and brakes?

I don't know for sure, but I read somewhere that staock Festiva hubs are 24 spline.

i dont think you could use the escort knuckle, maybe the hub? i know people are using the escort brakes, i think its an aspire knuckle with escort gt calipers and rotors

My Ideal setup would be an Aspire knuckle, with Escort GT hubs with 26 spline drive, Calipers, and Rotors. Not sure if thats possible, never really looked into it yet.

So the Festiva is definitely a 24 spline hub or am I getting confused for nothing?

Capri XR2 and 323GT have an inboard spline count of 26 with an outboard spline count 24. Lengths are 23 1/4" and 21 3/16" (not including intermediate shaft), left and right respectively.

Escort GT and 92-94 protege have inboard spline count of 26 but an outboard spline count of 26. Lengths are 23 15/16" and 24 3/8" (not including intermediate shaft), left and right respectively.

i dont think thats right about the xr2 though, because the xr2 with aspire upgrade is a bolt on upgrade and i counted the splines on the aspire hub and its 26 im almost positive, i will count again, but im almost positive

If Aspire hubs will work on a stock Festiva (as in "Aspire Swap"), then the hubs have to be 24 spline.

My information is correct. The aspire is 24 spline. That information has been proven correct multiple times.

So what do I have to do to get a 26 spline hub into Aspire knuckles?

i have looked up the part numbers and the bearings are not the same. the egt uses a one piece bearing and the festy/ aspire use an inner and outer bearing. you would have to use the egt spindle. then you could use the egt brakes and stuff

will tghe escort gt stuff fit? is that little clamp thing down at the bottom where your LCA mounts the same size as the aspire/festiva? you can allways drill out the strut holes...

This sounds like what member nerd racing is toying with. AFAIK he's using protege parts to make a G series go into his aspire. The protege parts are~EGT for all it's worth i believe.
