Dis you have to score the wheel hardware also for this swap? Like how much thicker are these KIA's & do they have 20 deg taper with a larger counter sink?

Wheel hardware? The rims came off an 02 Rio wagon that was hooked up to a tow truck and headed directly for the boneyard. The alloy rims are not my style (appearance-wise) but they were free and fit like a charm (hub hole and clearance over the calipers). You are correct in that Festy cone-seat nuts are not correct to properly seat these wheels but I already had ball-seat bolts on hand to finish the job. Nice thing about VW/Audi etc wheel bolts is they are 17 ml instead of the Festy OEM 14 ml. Thread diameter and pitch is the same.
Ya gotta remember though, my car has been Aspire-swapped already (ie 100mm bolt pattern). This has no effect on bolt head profiles (as you have asked) but does negate you from trying to round up a cheap set of 4 hole Rio wheels.

Wheel hardware= Bolts thanks Bert,I have BMW Rims so my "Hardware" should work on the KIA wheels.

Ok.... the guy that is selling these wheels tells me that he's "almost 100% sure they have a 0 offset". What does that mean for Festiva purposes?

I have 165/65/14's on my stock festiva. Overall height is the same as can on the car from factory but 1 inch wide. So fuel economy should be the same.

Darkfact, those wheels you showed are not 0 offset. If they were we could tell from looking at them. They'd look "deep dish" from the outside. Yours are clearly a FWD positive offset. The question is how much? You should look all over the wheel and see if it is stated. Look for "ET" or "offset" and a number between 35 and 45. If you find that you should be good to go, although 185/60-14s aren't the best fitting tires available. They are on the large side, but doable.

It's possible they could rub on a fender edge or your rear struts, if they rub anywhere. I run 175/70-13 snow tires which are about the same height (but 10mm thinner) and mine rub the rear fender edges on bumps because my springs are too soft in back. (My ET is 38 on my VW alloys with my snows.)

It looks like there is a lot of print on the back side of those wheel hubs. Look there first. If you can't find the offset, you could email or call the company with your wheel model number. They should be able to give you the offset you have.

I'm running 185-60-14's on Escort LX rims. No rubbing unless I'm cornering real hard. Then it rubs slightly in the back.

The Federal Formoza 165/55R14 is the tire you want. They're not very expensive, and are only 2mm (virtually the same OD) larger than stock, not to mention a much better tread-life. You should retain all handling capabilities, even loaded (i.e., no rubbing), and keep your speedometer within spec.

D1, tires-easy no longer has the Formozas in that size, but they are available in 165/60-14, along with the cheaper Westlakes. Those would put a Festiva up about 9mm higher than stock, or about the same as the 155/80-12s do.

I would normally start a new thread, but since my question and title would be similar to this one, I thought I could just piggy-back on this. I have a 1997 Go-4 Interceptor (meter maid trike that uses the same motor and auto transaxle as the Festiva) and have been wanting to get larger wheels for the back.

Would a set of old school Western Wheel Turbines from a Datsun 240z fit (or could they be made to fit with an adapter?) My reason for asking is I have the same wheels on my truck and it would be awesome for my Go-4 to have the same wheels also!

Here's the info on the 240z:
                          NISSAN 240Z, 260Z, 280Z BOLT PATTERN
MODEL YEAR O.E. WHEEL SIZE BOLT PATTERN STUD SIZE HUB/CENTER BORE OFFSET
                          240Z,260Z,280Z 70-85 14x6 4x114.3 12x1.25 66.1 L

I would think the issue would come down to the offset, but wanted to get the experts opinions! The wheels I'm looking at are 14x5.5 and from a picture I see a 5 on the wheel, so thinking that's designating the offset. Figure it'd be a long shot, but never hurts to ask!

The Metro stud size was only 10mm X 1.25 and the hub center bore is 59.6mm.

Festiva bolts are 12M X 1.5. Check first if the Festiva lug bolts will fit the Metro rims.

                            This was posted on Ecomodder.

I am running Geo Storm wheels on my Aspire swapped Festiva.

We cant tell you anything till YOU tell US what your wheels are. Are they 4x100 4x110 etc etc??? And what is YOUR offset? See what I'm saying? I could tell you a Ford F250 wheel might fit,but until we know your stock rim specs we are totally wasting server space. Just because your Trike uses a Festy ATX doesnt mean it has Festy axles & wheels. It might but until you clarify these questions the conversation is pointless. Get us your wheel specs and we can help you.

Just went out in the pouring rain and in the mud & rock of my driveway to pull a wheel off. No sizing or offset on the steelie. They have 155/80/13 rubber on them but I do know the bolt pattern is 4x114.3 and 99% sure the offset is high like the Festiva (35 to 45?)

My backspacing is 4 1/2" and the backspacing of the wheels I'm looking at are 3 3/8".

Wheel auction ends in 40 minutes. ha!
