Looks good. I thought about the taurus studs for the one flat side.

Yeah, the flat side helps because you are getting really close to the transition from flat to vertical on the bearing part.
Any difference that makes no difference is no difference.

I CNC routed a drilling template and turned a drill guide on the lathe. Should get the same results

I did these for Gomez (i think?), no word on performance yet AFAIK

          ^ That's awesome!

Think he sold them. I know they were up FS a while ago.

Looks like you also spotfaced the backside of the holes. Nice touch.

EDIT: Yeah, he sold them. http://www.fordfestiva.com/forums/showthread.php?55528-New-Festiva-drums-drilled-for-4x100-and-w-studs

Ah okay. Yes I milled the back side to remove the rough cast surface, just enough so the stud heads would sit perfectly flat.
I still have the template somewhere.

              They are working fine.

              So it will work.

Got to put some speed on them. They are fine up to and beyond the 85mph reading the stock cluster can do.

So I'm saying if you have the mental and handiness ability this is totally a safe way to do it.

                      1/2 inch and it's a tight fit.

If i drill to a ø.500 do i need to press the studs in or can i use a nut to pull them in? I have a press at work but would rather only ask them to drill it for me.

I could use a brass washer under a nut to help.

Or i could just come in on a saturday and have all the time i need to use the press.

Stack of washers and a lug nut will do the job. I finished seating mine with 2 hammers and ensure they where all the way down.
Placed a ballpeen on the stud and wacked it with another hammer.

Yeah, 1/2" is a good tight fit. I didn't think about the nut thing. I had a press handy, so it never occurred to me. Nice tip.
