Ok. My cars brakes and rims are DONE. Been looking for an Aspire to use for parts, but rarely see any aspires pop up on craigslist. I remember someone saying kia rio brake parts will fit on a aspire, so anyone think it work on a festiva? I can find kia rios all day long at the junkyard. Hoping the rims will fit as well.

Rockauto.com has nothing listed to indicate that there is a difference in the auto vs manual rotors on the 2001 Rio.

Only problem with seeking Rio brakes is you will still need to find an Aspire trailing arm/brake set up just for the back! Most dead and dying Aspires, on the other hand, can supply you with the whole works.

Smallest wheels on early Rios were 13s and 14s were optional (or maybe they were standard on ATXs). Ideally you want front brakes off an ATX (thicker rotors/wider-spaced calipers) but this is a moot point. Anything you do with regard to Aspire/Rio is a huge improvement over OEM Festy brakes plus you'll escape from that primitive captive and solid rotor racket that requires pulling the entire hub in order to replace one.

Auto Aspire and all early Rio ('01 to mid '02) front rotors are the same. Later Rios came with larger rotors and different calipers.
Only Aspire had different rotors between manual and auto transaxles, with the manual rotors being thinner and taking a different caliper bracket.
